Rafael Acosta Morales

The Wolf's Calling: A novel of spies, money, power, betrayal and constant intrigue, written with an authentic daring language.

Rafael Acosta Morales (Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, México, 1981) is the author of the novels Mosquitos buscando luz (CONARTE, 2006, winner of the Nuevo León Novel Award 2005) and Conquistador (Tierra Adentro, 2013). He’s been a fellow of Mexico’s Ha  Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes in its Young Creators Fellowship (2009-2010; 2012-2013). He’s wasted his life studying and writing literature in Monterrey, Madrid and Ithaca, to which he grew tired of returning. He has a P.h.D. in Spanish from the University of Cornell. Corresponsal de Guerra is his first short story collection. He recently finished his new novel, titled  The Wolf’s Calling and teaches literature as an associate professor at the University of Kansas, right next to Superman’s family farm. He’s currently doing his best not to follow the yellow brick road.
